With the NFL lockout officially over, free agency hit the ground running resulting in several former Texas Tech players getting a chance at Training Camp.

The Abilene duo of quarterback Taylor Potts and wide receiver Lyle Leong led the way in free agency signings as Potts earned a spot with the St. Louis Rams and Leong with the Dallas Cowboys. Potts finished his career in red and black as the fourth all-time leader in passing yards at 7,835 while his childhood and collegiate teammate Leong goes down as one of the most successful receivers of all-time coming in second on the list with 32 career touchdowns.

Other former Tech players receiving free agency deals: defensive lineman Colby Whitlock heads to the Denver Broncos to join former Red Raider safety Darcel McBath, receiver Detron Lewis earned a spot with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, linebacker Bront Bird signed with the San Diego Chargers (home of former offensive lineman Louis Vasquez) and rounding out the day, linebacker Brian Duncan was picked up by the Buffalo Bills.

According to the NFLN, the training camp schedule for all 32 teams looks like this:
