Jason Chad White, the suspect in a fatal drunk-driving crash, may have gotten alcohol from another person who was under the drinking age on the day of the crash, according to a Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission report.
Captain Mark Menn with the TABC said the agency's investigation went beyond who provided White with alcohol.
"There was alcohol purchased by a minor subject, an under-aged person," Menn said. "Not the driver specifically, but someone connected to the driver, earlier that same day, and we have taken administrative action against the business in question for the sale of alcohol to a minor."
On Dec. 6, police say White was drunk and driving when he smashed into several vehicles at Avenue S and Glenna Goodacre Boulevard. Megan Rough, 20, was ejected from one of those vehicles even though she was wearing a seat belt. Rough died days later.
Captain Menn said the TABC report has been turned over to prosecutors, who will decide whether to file further criminal charges.
