Good morning! We are starting off the day with mostly cloudy conditions and a few thunderstorms moving across the Texas Panhandle. While we don’t expect any of those storms to move down into the South Plains this morning they are helping push a boundary down into our area. Where ever this boundary sets up this afternoon will be where our best chance for storms will be. You can keep an eye on any potential storms with our live streaming radar below.
Storm chances today are still slim and coverage will be a lot like yesterday, very isolated with rainfall amounts not all that impressive. This will be the case again tomorrow as we have a slight chance for a few showers and thunderstorms. Starting on Thursday the center of high pressure will be too close to us for any real rain chance.
Temperatures will be about the same each day the rest of the week, starting off the mornings around 70° and warming into the upper 90s each afternoon. There are no good signs for any significant changes in the weather pattern any time soon.
I hope you have a great day! I am filling in for Matt all morning long on Good Day Lubbock and will have a complete updated forecast for you again this afternoon.
