A followup on a triple shooting in Slaton three weeks ago. It happened just a block away from Tuesdays crime scene in Slaton.
Fred Melcher who killed a suspected burglar inside his home has been released from the hospital and is in rehab.
According to the Medical Examiner 69-year old Melcher shot Robert Holt five times. Melcher and his friend Edith Ayers were both wounded by Holt during the confrontation.
A grand jury will convene soon to determine if Melcher committed any wrong doing by killing Holt.
