New details have been released in a deadly crash at 19th Street and Quaker Avenue Monday night. It involved five vehicles and a motorcycle.

Police say alcohol was a factor and they've made an arrest.

Police report 17-year-old Jessica Traylor was taken into custody for intoxication manslaughter. The crash killed Liandro Garcia, 47.

Investigators were mapping the scene of the wreck into the early-morning hours to determine how this all happened. Witnesses tell us a black SUV was heading west while a car was trying to turn north and they collided.

Then a motorcycle that didn't have time to stop crashed into the two vehicles. The rider went airborne and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash ended up involving a couple more vehicles.

In all, five other people were injured and taken to the hospital. No word on their conditions.

Couple of things, a crime was committed, and she should have her day in court. It doesn't matter if she's gone to rehab or not. The deceased does not get a "do-over" ; she should have to face the consequences determined by judge and jury. I find it sad that her BFF even says she had given keys to "sober" people COUNTLESS times. How many times was this underage girl doing this. I don't think she went out with the intent of killing anyone, but that's still the chance she was taking and choice she made. I find it strange it has taken this long and yet the case has not gone to court. I feel for the Traylor and Garcia Family. One has to live with the actions of a family member and the other has to live without a family member because of the actions of another.

Ok first of all anyone calling for murder charges is RETARDED and needs to stop talking. You obviously know NOTHING about the legal system so shut up. Also if you have ever had a beer and driven home then you have no room to talk. This could have been you. She is doing everything she can to correct her life and go on. LEAVE HER ALONE! Everyone wants an opinion but rarely do they try a little empathy first. If you wish ill for someone else then I really hope karma finds you. One day it could easily be you that is in a bad situation needing a little understanding. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone! She is an amazing person that made a really big mistake. This is such a tragic situation but that's all it is. A 17 yr old girl is facing consequences that will change her life forever. You all act like she walked out the door that night saying "I think I'll go kill someone with my car." If you think that then you must be a moron! She has gone to rehab, and sober living. She is doing all she can to change her life and stay strong. She is torn apart from the inside out and regrets every bit of her mistakes. Please worry about your own problems rather than just judging someone else. Don't use someone else's misery to rationalize, justify and make you feel better about your own shortcomings. Say a prayer or whatever you do for her, the grieving family and Jess' family rather than spreading hate.... for once!

I actually didn't like this girl before my experience with her at a rehabilitation center after the wreck. She didn't open up and all of us didn't know how she could come in so strong. Turned out she wasn't strong, and regaurdless of my reasoning why I didn't like her, I feel God put us there for eachother. She broke down in tears one night when I told her she had to let it out and tell someone. She took full responsibility of putting everyone in danger on the road. But someone had to give this poor baby a break. I'm not saying it was right. But I am saying that i'm sure a lot of people have driven drunk and thought they would be fine. A 17 year old little girl had no idea it would be her, just like the family had no idea it would be them. It's tragic, but I will pray every night that these family's come together and stand in each others shoes. I know Jess stood in this family's shoes every night and day that I held her while she cried thinking of the fact that she may have hurt people. She is traumatized that there was a death involved in this accident, and she's still a baby. If anything, I would want to get the jerk who gave these kids alcohol not the baby that would take it back if there was a way. You've already got your justice, she can't look herself in the mirror. Leave her the hell alone.

We can't put ourselves in anybody's shoe here. Mistakes like these will continue to happen. She may be the sweetest girl, the best BFF but in the end she made that choice to drive. If she was at that pool part as they say HER BFF's failed to be just that. We are the best in other people's eye, but it tends to brought out n2 light when they miss up. Drink Drive Die... Your life is already over anyway.

For some reason, The D.A. in Lubbock has charged the guy that crashed on 82nd and Slide with Manslaughter also. He was 3 times over the legal limit, he was doing 133 miles per hour. So what Im saying here is manslaughter is what she will be charged with. I dont know why they are not going Vehicular Homicide in bloth of these cases.

I am sorry Lovefor Traylor but she made the choice to drive drunk. She killed someone as a result of her choice. Needs to be tried for murder. By the way you need to go back to school and learn english.

THIS girl right here Jessica Traylor is a very good friend of mine ANYONE saying that she "deserves" more punishment then she is already getting are cruel. She is the sweetest funniest girl that if any of yall people met would truly see the life in her eyes and the love and compassion in her heart. She didn't mean to do this I have seen her countless times hand over her keys to somebody sober, most of the time she had someone there to driven she didn't mean for any of this, she's very for the harm she caused to people's life and there families she feels just as awful. She's not getting a free card here. Before yall judge her and lay her the biggest punishment get to know her and her story. Cause none of yall know anything about her life and what she has been through. "If god can forgive what makes people thing there to good to forgive" -Traylorsbestfriend

No I'm sorry Jessica Traylor should be charged with Murder not Manslaughter, it's her fault, she killed someone, she should have to pay the price. NOT ANYONE ELSE.
