A suspect in a weekend shooting at a local sports bar has been jailed on a recommended $100,000 bond.
21-year-old Adrian Deanda Jr. Is being held on an aggravated assault charge.
Investigators reported witnesses said Deanda was arguing with some men at Jake's Sports Café, and then asked a friend for his pistol, which was in her purse.
Three people were hurt in the early Saturday morning shooting. We have been told none of the injuries was life-threatening.
Dave Brulotte, the manager on duty, said protecting customers was his first thought.
"Second time we heard it, I realized it was gunfire," Brulotte said. "And so I was grabbing people, shoving them and telling them to get in the back room and get down."
Another employee got the license plate number of a pickup truck as the shooting suspect left. LPD officers later arrested Deanda on an unrelated outstanding warrant.
