Police release 911 call from deadly shooting

A murder warrant is providing new details in a deadly shooting Wednesday. Timothy Lamount James ,36, was shot and killed. Ebedmelech Lemuel Henry ,36, remains jailed on a million dollars bond.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Mission apartments just before 5 a.m. Wednesday.

A portion of the 9-1-1 call was released by Lubbock PD.

Dispatcher: 911, What's the emergency?

Caller: Yes, I need you to come to...(crying)
umm.. What the address (inaudible)

Caller: There's been a shooting.

Caller: at the... oh my god I can't breathe. 
(inaudible) Kewanee.

Dispatcher: 19th and Kewanee?

Caller: Kewanee, yes this is West 19th and Kewanee.

Caller: It's the Mission Apartments number 4.  (crying)

In reports filed with the arrest warrant LPD Investigators say they found James dead in the bedroom and three spent 45 caliber cartridges by his feet.

Officers report witnesses said Henry shot James during a fight after James tried to intervene in an argument between Henry and a woman. 
Henry was arrested on a murder warrant Wednesday afternoon.
