District Two resident Gordon Harris has submitted his third attempt to force a recall election for Councilman Floyd Price.

The city secretary's staff told us they are working to verify if the petition is valid.
Harris' first try failed because he didn't have affidavits verifying he witnessed the signatures on that petition.
The second petition came up short due to the number of disqualified signers.
Harris needs 509 valid signatures from registered District Two voters.

Ten percent had to have voted for Price in the 2008 run-off election.
"It was easier because now I know going in what's required and what's needed," Harris said. "Like I say, with the help of a whole lot of people that was behind me to make sure that I got it done right this time, it was much easier."
Harris said he collected 1,055 signatures on this petition.
He said he launched the recall effort because he feels Price has not done enough for District Two.
The councilman said business growth within his district is one of many highlights.
