LITTLE BEAR FIRE: An air quality alert is posted from the fire's location just north or Ruidoso to Roswell and the state line east of Portales. Newest information I have shows zero containment of the blaze, now estimated at more than 26,900 acres. There are 429 personnel responding to this blaze, according to this official site.
Gov. Susana Martinez and U.S. Forest officials held a briefing with residents yesterday. Communication in or out of the area is difficult, Internet, mobile phone and land line communications are spotty at best.
