Tales of survival are still coming out of Oklahoma after deadly twisters tore across the state over the weekend. One little guy is in Lubbock receiving treatment for critical injuries.

The young victim of a killer tornado in Oklahoma early Sunday morning is improving at UMC. 22-month-old Ty Cooley has serious injuries. His father Frank Hobbie and two sisters’, Faith and Kelly, were killed when their mobile home was shattered by the EF-3 twister.

He was airlifted to Lubbock because Dallas was in the path of the storms and hospitals in the Oklahoma metro area were full.

"His injuries are symptomatic with what you would find in that type of event, so trauma injuries of that nature," said UMC Communications Manager, Eric Finley.

We have been told that Ty's mother is at his side here in Lubbock. A total of six people were killed and dozens injured, almost 100 homes were destroyed or damaged.
