It turned out to be a pretty nice day although the north breeze made it feel a little cool at times. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
The wind will calm this evening and under a mostly clear sky temperatures will cool to the upper 20s and lower 30s tomorrow morning. Tomorrow will turn out to be just perfect in my mind. We warm to the mid 60s under a sunny sky with a light west/northwest breeze of about 5-15mph. Temperatures will be even warm on Sunday with even a few 80s possible across our southern counties but unfortunately the wind will be stronger as well. We will see a sustained wind to about 25mph with gusts at times up to 35mph.
A cold front will move through on Monday and the exact timing that the front moves through will determine how warm we get. It currently looks like the front will move through during the late afternoon so most of us should warm into the upper 60s and low 70s ahead of the front. We will see about a 10-15 degree cool down once the front moves through. Temperatures then warm right back up to the upper 60s and lower 70s at the end of the week.
Models continue to show a setup favorable for rain across the region the following weekend. While anything could change over the next week it does give us some confidence that various models have consistently shown this for the past several days. Stay tuned!
** Today is the first day of March and over this month we will gain an additional one hour and forty-five minutes of daylight with our average temperature warming eight degrees. The average precipitation we see this month is 1.10” which goes down as typically the fifth driest month of the year. **
I hope you have a great weekend and get out and enjoy the weather especially tomorrow! Caitlin will have all the forecast updates for you this weekend.
