A cold front moved through yesterday and set us up with a cold morning today, with an area wide freeze and many of us starting off in the teens. After the cold start to the day we warmed up to around the average high this afternoon. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

We will get a bit warmer each day the rest of the week with a clear sky overhead. The wind shifts to the southwest tomorrow and will become breezy on Saturday helping to bring in warmer air. A strong cold front will move through Sunday morning setting us up with a breezy north wind and keeping our temperatures in the 30s in the afternoon. When you factor in the wind it will feel like its freezing throughout the day. We will see an increase of clouds but no precipitation is expected.
The clouds clear out and temperatures warm back into the upper 50s by New Years Eve and New Years Day. A light freeze is expected New Years morning but overall quiet and nice weather is expected. There are signs that another strong cold front will move through at the end of next week but right now there are still some questions about when exactly the front will move through and how much it will cool us down.

I hope you had a very merry Christmas and have enjoyed the nice weather so far this week! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Caitlin will be in for Matt tomorrow morning with a complete updated forecast for you.
