After starting off the morning with strong wind and dust and dirt blown around the wind relaxed this afternoon leading to a very nice day. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
The wind will shift to the south and pick up tomorrow from about 15-25mph. Temperatures will warm back into the upper 80s and lower 90s under a sunny sky. We will be a few degrees warmer on Saturday with an even stronger wind, sustained 20-30mph with gusts approaching 40mph. A dry line will set up to the east of us keeping all the storms that way. If the dry line were to set up a little farther west than currently expected then perhaps our eastern most communities could see a few storms but even that chance is low. Most if not all of us will have very dry air in place which means not only will we miss out on the rain but with the strong wind we will have an elevated wildfire threat.
On Sunday a cold front will move through and the wind will be even stronger with wind gusts in excess of 50mph. The strong wind will continue into the first part of next week with temperatures quite a bit cooler. It looks like we should avoid another freeze with morning lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Afternoon temperatures will only be in the 60s and 70s for most of next week.
I hope you enjoyed the nice weather this afternoon! I will step you though the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Matt will have a complete updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
