The slight warming trend continued today with temperatures for most of us starting off in the low 70s and warming into the 90s this afternoon. Below is a look at some of the morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

The center of high pressure will continue to get closer over the next couple of days helping to clear out any clouds and warm our temperatures into the upper 90s. That same high pressure system will then shift west turning the wind in the upper part of the atmosphere to blow from the northwest over us. With a disturbance moving over northern New Mexico and a cold front dropping down into the Texas Panhandle at the end of the week showers and storms could form across that area and then move south into the South Plains. This isn’t a great chance right now but certainly looks like a possibility for late Thursday through Saturday.

I hope you had a great weekend and a good start to this week! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Matt will have an updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
