QUIET WEATHER: It's a clear start with some dew on the grass...a real nice sign of the good moisture we've picked up recently. Everything will continue to dry out over the next few days.

We start sunny, turning mostly sunny to partly cloudy this afternoon...high near 86, wind NE-E 5-10mph.

It'll again be in the mid to upper 80s tomorrow and Saturday. There could be an isolated shower or thunderstorm northwest of Lubbock late tomorrow, but it's only a slight chance. There have been a lot of clouds over Arizona and New Mexico coming up from the Pacific. We'll see more of these clouds in our area in the coming days but don't have a good trigger to rain here. This is why it's only a slight chance for a shower over the higher terrain of New Mexico to get into our area tomorrow.

NEXT WEEK: It's going to get a bit hotter, likely 90s returning by Sunday and continuing next several days. There are some differences among the computer models on whether a front will get down here. Since the signs of this and any rain are pretty week we'll keep the forecast dry at this point.

Have a great day. Rudy will update the forecast later today.
