CLEAR SETUP: We start today in the 20s and 30s with a clear sky. It'll warm to around 50 this afternoon, lots of sunshine. Wind will shift from the W to NE through the day around 5-15mph. It'll be cooler across the Texas Panhandle, thanks both to the front moving through earlier and snow on the ground there. There was some heavy snow Friday into Saturday north of Amarillo. With a little snow closer to Hwy. 86 it should stay cooler around Friona and Dimmitt today:

THIS WEEK: Unlike the past few years where there's been at least a little snow around Christmas Eve or Christmas Day...and some heavy snow days in's quiet and sunny this week. The SW breeze will pick up tomorrow, warming it to the upper 50s. A cold front Christmas morning will knock the high back down into the 40s.

Lots of sunshine into the weekend, temperature should drop some Sunday behind another front.

REGIONAL OUTLOOK: It's a similar setup across our region, lots of sunshine. There will still be some snowy roads over NE New Mexico, the Texas Panhandle and northern Oklahoma today, though major highways are open. More of this snow will melt tomorrow. Across New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas your travel will be good. Here are forecast images from the National Weather Service for today, tomorrow and Christmas. Click here - for larger versions.
