QUIET WEATHER: It cooled off this weekend after the front moved through Friday night. In fact, it dropped to 43 yesterday morning, coolest since early May. We'll see a warming trend next few days with a quiet, zonal flow aloft. High near 88 today in Lubbock, 90 tomorrow and Wednesday.

The wind will get a little stronger each afternoon, sustained up near 20mph by Thursday and Friday.

NEXT FRONT: An upper-level storm system moving across the western United States this week will push a cold front across our area some time Friday. This will bring a gusty north wind and cooler air Friday into the weekend. The low will be back down well into the 40s Saturday and Sunday mornings, highs this weekend in the 70s. There isn't much moisture to work with, looks like this front will move through with no rain.

Have a great day ahead. Rudy will have a full update to the forecast later today.
