HOT START TO OCTOBER: We'll see nearly a repeat of yesterday today. It's a clear morning, temperature in the 50s and 60s. It'll warm into the 90s across the area today, SW/S wind 10-18mph. A SE wind is expected for areas off the Caprock...a little better moisture will keep the temp down by just a few degrees here, but still plenty warm area-wide:

The breeze will get a little stronger next few days, strongest Thursday through Saturday. We're looking at 90s through Thursday.

NEXT FRONT: A front will move across the area some time on Friday. It looks like we'll reach the 80s before cooler air spills south later in the day. Friday night football will probably have a north breeze making it feel chilly. Right now it doesn't look like there will be much moisture for when the front gets here, meaning no rain.

Saturday morning will drop to the upper 30s and 40s. Saturday will stay cool, high close to 70. A warming trend will then take us into next week.

Have a great day. Rudy will have a full update to the forecast later today.
