TODAY: We have just a few clouds moving south, away from thunderstorms up across Colorado. Other than this it's a quiet picture across the region, temperature in the 60s this morning. It'll warm to the lower to mid 90s across the area this afternoon, wind S/SE 10-16mph, just a few clouds. Sunset in Lubbock tonight at 8:29.
There might be an isolated thunderstorm somewhere across the northwestern South Plains, but it's a slim chance. There should be isolated storms across NE New Mexico.
THIS WEEK: Not much is changing day to day. The upper-level ridge of high pressure that's been over the Four Corners and Desert Southwest for the past week is slowly lifting northeast into the Central Plains this week. This means high pressure will be close enough to keep it mainly sunny and hot. But the ridge isn't terribly strong, we dont' expect any triple-digit readings this week. The high should drop by just a few degrees this weekend.
Have a great day. Rudy will have another check of the quiet weather later this afternoon.
