This morning was mild to start, but the wind made it feel much colder, we warmed up nicely in the afternoon, unfortunately, a lot of us saw a lot of clouds which made for a gloomy day. The good news, we got some rain for some parts of the area.
Rain was mostly light and scattered, but we will continue with a chance through the rest of the weekend. Those near the New Mexico border will have the best chance this evening to see any rain, but that doesn't leave out the opportunity for the rest of us as well. If you get any rain it will likely be light in nature and you could also see a thunderstorm or two.
The rain is being provided by a low pressure system moving directly over our area in the next two days, which is why any rain that we get through Monday will probably come patchy or in bands, with some areas of widespread coverage.

Tomorrow morning will drip to near 40, continuing with our chance for rain. Partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day and an increased chance for showers by the afternoon and evening while the better chance shifts to those off the Caprock. Once again, the rest of us could also see isolated showers.
While rain chances continue, wind will die down a bit by tomorrow morning, picking up slightly in the afternoon, but not nearly as strong as it has been. Cooler temperatures will hang around though, high in the mid 60s can be expected again Sunday.
Monday, temperatures will remain similar, and we will once again have a chance for scattered wraparound showers, but the system providing it will quickly move to the east, leaving us with a drying trend by the afternoon. Sun returns full force by Tuesday with a cool start but temperatures back in the 70s in the afternoon.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday include more sun, and highs in the 80s but breezy conditions from the southwest near 15 to 20 mph.
Updates on rain and more weather can be seen at 6:00 and 9:00 tonight on FOX34! Hope to see you then, enjoy any rain while you can!
