Get used to the warm weather, it is going to last. Temperatures will only dip into the upper 20s for the mornings and get all the way into the mid 60s for Monday and Tuesday. Expect light wind and plenty of sunshine in the forecast as well. The sun continues into the middle of the week too, but temperatures will get even warmer.

You can expect temperatures to get into the mid to upper 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, maybe close to 70, especially on Thursday. A low to our north by then will really pull in the warm temperatures. After that is when the forecast gets tricky.

That low will drag a cold front through the South Plains on Friday. Previous model runs were showing a strong front that would have dipped us into the 30s and possibly bringing precipitation for next weekend. They have taken a complete 180 though and are now indicating another low pressure to the west pushing the first front further to the east, keeping us warm for Friday and Saturday and distinguishing much precipitation chances.

This situation is still pretty far away so we will continue to watch future model runs to see how this will play out. There is time for them to "change their mind" again between now and then. Stick with FOX34 for continued updates as the week progresses!

Kurt, Nick and I will be on the News at Nine tonight and Matt will have a new forecast for you in the morning!
