Our Christmas morning cold front cooled us off a little, but not too bad. It was still a beautiful afternoon with plenty of sun and a high in the upper 40s for most of the area.
The affects of that front will not last very long. Tomorrow we should dip into the low to mid 20s with clear skies but our light southwest wind and abundant sun in the afternoon will get us up into the low to mid 50s again. That will be just the start of our warm up.
Mid 20s for Friday morning and a high in the mid to upper 50s. Even warmer to start the weekend as a low pressure to our northwest pulls int he warm air. That will allow us to get to near 60 for the day with a bump in wind speeds to near 10 to 20 mph.
Our next significant cold front gets here Sunday morning. It could dip us into the low 40s or even cooler for the afternoon. Rain chances for this front are not ideal, we should mostly just see partly to mostly cloudy skies with our precipitation. the 40s carry over to the start of the next workweek but we'll warm back into the low 50s for New Years Eve.
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and we hope you'll join us to end your Christmas day for the News at Nine tonight! I will be in for Matt on Good Day Lubbock tomorrow morning and Rudy returns to the News at Nine tomorrow night.
