The week ended with temperatures right around 80, but a cold front brought storms last night and even some rain to the South Plains. For rain totals from the last couple It also dropped our afternoon high today into the mid 60s and another weak front arrives tonight that will cool us off even more.
The second front will arrive sometime near midnight tonight bringing cold, dry Canadian air towards the South Plains. We'll start tomorrow off in the low 30s but with strong north winds bringing the cool air, we'll only reach a high in the upper 40s to low 50s. Mostly clear skies will accompany the below average temperatures and winds at 25 to 30 mph.
Lots of sunshine for the start of the week will get us back up into the low 60s by Monday afternoon and calmer winds. Pleasant conditions really take over on Tuesday with temperatures sitting in the low 70s with sunny skies. We'll hover near that in the afternoons and morning lows in the upper 30s to low 40s all the way through Friday, with lots of sunshine.
Not many changes after the front tonight, we're not expecting much of a chance for rain in the next seven days across the entire South Plains.
I will be on tonight for your News at Nine with more weather!
