The clear skies we've had for the last few days will soon be replaced. The high pressure system that has dominated the region will be pushed east by a low pressure developing to the southwest of here. As it approaches, moisture will increase throughout the day on Friday.
Clouds build throughout the day tomorrow as moisture increases. They will bring us a chance for some rain and storms, first for our southwestern counties and the chance spreads to the rest of the South Plains as the day and night progresses. With the moisture and clouds, we'll see a bit of a cool down into the mid to upper 80s.
Rain chances are definitely there, but it is still a slight chance. With high dew points, those who do see rain have a possibility for it to be pretty heavy at times.
Come Saturday, we'll still have a chance for rain through the afternoon as that low pressure moves north and east throughout the day. As it pushes out of the area, rain should taper off by night time.
Another high pressure system builds back into the area come Sunday and that will warm us back into the mid to upper 90s with mostly sunny skies all the way through Wednesday.
There are signs of a disturbance come Monday night into Tuesday morning that could provide more storms and rain, we will continue to track that as it gets near.
I will be filling in again for Rudy tonight on the News at Nine where I will have more weather for you!
