We reached 100 degrees in Lubbock two days in a row. And the hot temperatures near that will continue for a few more days. This morning's low was also well above average, only dropping to 75 degrees in Lubbock.
Tomorrow will be pretty similar dropping to the low 70s in the morning and nearing 100 in the afternoon with sun throughout the day and a south wind near 10 to 15 mph. We won't veer off that trend too much through Tuesday because of a strong upper level high pressure that is keeping us dry an tranquil.
We could see a weak cold front come though on Wednesday due to an upper level disturbance, dropping us into the mid 90s and maybe even the low 90s by Friday. This far out, it's hard to tell how much that front will cool off and when exactly it will arrive.
There is also a very small chance for rain come Thursday through Friday. Models haven't agreed much on that as of yet, but we'll keep an eye on our chances as it nears the end of the work week.
For now, prepare yourself for warm and sunny days and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
