The weekend's cold front made it all the way through the area last night leaving slightly cooler temperatures for the South Plains today and a few flurries this morning. Behind the front, it is dry and sunny. This will be the main story this week despite multiple fronts on the horizon.
Tomorrow morning will be pretty cold with the light wind and clear skies in place, dropping into the mid 20s. Sun tomorrow will get us back up to near 50 despite the first weak front coming through in the afternoon. It could keep us in the upper 40s for a high but we will still remain dry.
Christmas Eve will be slightly warmer, a low near the mid 20s with a high in the mid 50s and plenty of sun.Christmas Day
The tail end of a cold front comes through West Texas Christmas morning thanks to an upper level trough. The most it will do is bring a few clouds in the morning and dip us back into the upper 40s for the holiday. We will still have a lovely Christmas wit mostly sunny skies and a light breeze, so don't be dismayed by the words "cold" and "front."
Similar temperatures and conditions will stick around through the end of the week and start of the weekend with the possibility of a stronger front arriving over the weekend. We will keep an eye on it in the coming week.
Have a fantastic short workweek!
