After starting off the day well below the average low we warmed to near the average high this afternoon. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
This trend of chilly mornings turning to warm afternoons will continue the rest of the week. The wind will pick up especially as the dryline becomes active across the region on Thursday and Friday. As the dryline interacts with richer moisture across the Rolling Plains on Thursday we could see some rain although right now the chances don’t look that great. The moisture will shift farther east on Friday so by then all rain chances look to be held to the east of us.
A weak cold front will sweep through on Saturday although it really won’t cool down our temperatures much. Some models are showing another disturbance moving overhead at the beginning of next week which could possibly provide us with some rain but again there are still many questions about that setup. Stay tuned!
I hope you had a great weekend and a great start to this week! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Matt will have a complete updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
