It was a windy and warm day with sustained west winds up to 30mph and gusts approaching 40mph this afternoon. The west wind helped bring in drier and warmer air which warmed many of us into the 60s this afternoon. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

A cold front will move through tonight and shift the wind to the north at about 10-20mph overnight becoming about 15-25mph during the first half of the day tomorrow. This will help bring in colder air setting all of us up for a freeze tomorrow morning. Temperatures will cool down into the 20s but when you factor in the wind it will feel like it is in the teens. You can track the cold front with the two graphics below showing the current wind speed and temperatures. These graphics update several times an hour.

The wind will back off tomorrow afternoon to about 10-20mph and under a sunny sky we will warm to the upper 40s. Temperatures will warm into the 50s on Sunday and 60s next week with sunny to mostly sunny conditions each day until the next cold front moves through at the end of the week. It currently looks like the front will move through sometime between Thursday and Friday, with breezy conditions expected ahead of the front. Exactly when the front will move through and how much it will cool us down still remains to be seen as we are about a week away. We will continue to fine tune the forecast as we get closer but until then enjoy the nice weather at the start of next week!

I hope you have a great weekend! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Caitlin will have all the forecast updates for you this weekend.
