Most of us started off the morning in the mid 30s but then warmed into the upper 70s and lower 80s this afternoon. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
After a couple of days with near record high temperatures we will see big changes tonight thanks to a cold front that will move through. The front will clear the area tomorrow morning but the strong wind will start overnight, with sustained wind speeds of 20-30mph and gusts up to 40mph expected. The wind this strong will only last during the first half of the day tomorrow before it relaxes by the afternoon. Morning temperatures tomorrow wont be bad, generally starting off in the 40s, but we won’t warm that much even though we will stay under a sunny sky, with afternoon temperatures topping out in the 50s.
The wind will shift back to the southwest on Friday with wind speeds up to 25mph in the afternoon. This will help bring in warmer air allowing our afternoon temperatures to rebound back into the 70s. Another front will move through late Saturday with afternoon temperatures still currently expected to warm into the 60s on Saturday but only the 50s on Sunday. We warm back into the 60s on Monday with another front cooling our highs down into the 50s for the middle of next week.
With the storm system that pushes the front through on Tuesday of next week there could be some rain across the Big Country but it currently looks like that will be the closest rain to us over the next week.
I hope you had a great day and enjoyed the warm weather! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Matt will have an updated forecast for you tomorrow morning.
