We set a new daily record low this morning as we cooled down to 25°, breaking the old record low of 31° set way back in 1922. Today’s low is also the coldest we have ever been this late in the season. After the chilly start to the day it turned out to be a really nice afternoon as we warmed into the low to mid 60s under a sunny sky with a light wind. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.

Some high clouds will work their way in tonight but won’t have any major impact on our weather. We will have milder temperatures tomorrow morning as all of us should avoid another freeze with most starting off in the upper 30s and lower 40s. The wind will pick up from the south/southwest at about 15-25mph and temperatures will top out in the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon. We expect similar conditions on Sunday and then temperatures will be a bit warmer on Monday as we should see afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Another cold front looks to move through sometime on Tuesday. The exact timing is still up in the air as some models bring it through in the morning while others hold if off until the afternoon. We are currently going with a forecast of it moving through in the morning which would keep our afternoon highs only in the 50s and 60s. We should also have windy conditions throughout the day making it feel even cooler. Temperatures on Wednesday morning will be in the 30s with most of us avoiding another freeze but our northern communities could certainly see some freezing temperatures. We warm right back into the 70s and 80s by the end of the week.

Our chances for rain over the next seven days continue to look slim. There is a slight chance for some showers and storms to form along the dryline late on Monday but the dryline will likely be positioned to the east of us. Yesterday models showed an increase of moisture and decent amount of rain across most of the region on Wednesday but today models have backed off of that setup some. Stay tuned!

I hope you have a great weekend! Caitlin will have all the forecast updates throughout the weekend for you.
