We were not quite as warm today as we were yesterday however we still warmed to about 10-15 degrees above the average high. Below is a look at some of our morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
The wind will pick up tomorrow and become quite breezy, from the south/southwest at about 15-25mph. This plus a bright sunny sky will help us warm back into the low 90s tomorrow afternoon.
It still looks like a cold front will move through on Friday, mainly late Friday afternoon and evening. Since the front won’t move through until later in the day we should still warm to the upper 80s ahead of the front on Friday afternoon but of course if the front were to move through sooner we would be cooler on Friday. Models still differ by a few hours on exactly when it will move through but once it does it will really kick up the wind and usher in much colder air. Wind speeds behind the front will be about 20-30mph sustained, with some stronger gusts. Rain chances still look slim to none with the only chances, albeit still very low, being across our southern counties and the Rolling Plains.
On Saturday morning most of us will cool down into the upper 30s and lower 40s although some of our northern most communities could flirt with their first frost or even light freeze of the season. The wind will stay breezy on Saturday as we only warm into the 60s in the afternoon.
We start a gradual warm up on Sunday as we top out in the mid 70s and eventually will warm back into the mid 80s by the middle of next week.
