It was a nice day across the South Plains with temperatures close to average in both the morning and afternoon.
We will be a little warmer tomorrow with similar conditions to tomorrow on Wednesday. Our next cold front then looks to move through on Thursday. Right now it looks like it will move through Thursday morning into early Thursday afternoon but the exact timing of the front can alter some between now and then. Not only will this front provide us with another pleasant cool down with afternoon highs in the 70s for the rest of the week, but it will also provide us with some chances for rain. It currently looks like the best chances for rain and storms will come with the passage of the front on Thursday, but some activity could linger into early Friday morning.
The clouds will clear out for the weekend with temperatures gradually warming back into the 80s by the beginning of next week but for now it doesn’t look like we will have any more really hot days any time soon.
I will have another look at your forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Caitlin will be in for Matt tomorrow morning.
