Eight days after visiting and touring the Texas Tech campus, former Texas A&M Linebackers Coach Matt Wallerstedt has agreed to become the new Red Raider Defensive Coordinator, according to Double T 104.3's Chris Level.
Wallerstedt has plenty of experience as a Defensive Coordinator as he has previously lead defenses at Wyoming, North Alabama and Air Force where he was also Associate Head Coach.
The Kansas St. graduate spent just one season with the Aggies. He replaces Art Kaufman who spent just one year leading the Texas Tech defense.
