Sydney joined the FOX 34 News team in March of 2014. She moved to West Texas from Missouri after weather anchoring and reporting for the Four States.

Growing up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Sydney has always had a passion for journalism. In high school, she was the editor of the national-award-winning Tempest newspaper. She was also a two-time summer intern with CBS in New York City.

After attending Arizona State University, Sydney received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the Walter Cronkite School. She held various news internships and was involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. Sydney was an early graduate in 2013, however her educational path is far from over. She plans to enroll in an online degree program to further her knowledge in meteorology to increase her versatility in news reporting.

When she's not at FOX 34, she's exploring Texas or traveling the country to see family and friends. You'll often see her running or biking the streets of Lubbock, training for another triathlon (her favorite pastime). Although Sydney is an Arizona State Sun Devil at heart, she's excited to learn the ways of Lubbock and the Red Raider Nation.

Sydney joins FOX 34 as an anchor and reporter. If you have any story suggestions, feel free to email them to her at You can also follow her posts @SydneyRyanFOX on Twitter or at
