Bailey Jo Miller joined the FOX 34 News team in June 2012, but she’s always been a West Texas girl at heart.
Growing up in Plainview, Bailey Jo was always an outgoing child. She started singing at a young age, and it’s been her number one passion ever since. She moved to the Texas Hill Country in 2002, and her passion for performance followed her into high school. She became even more involved in singing, performing at The Pointe Theatre in several community musicals.
Bailey Jo came back to West Texas in 2008 to attend Texas Tech University. With two Tech graduates for parents being a Red Raider is in her blood. She majored in broadcast journalism and was actively involved in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. During her freshman year she also had the honor of being named Miss Lubbock 2009.
Bailey Jo began her relationship with the FOX family in 2011, as an intern for FOX News in New York, where she honed her writing skills while producing and editing for FoxNews.com Live. Her last semester as a student was spent here at FOX 34 working part-time as an associate producer for Good Day Lubbock. She graduated with honors in May 2012 and is thrilled to be starting her career right here in Lubbock.
