An upcoming local effort makes for a great excuse to unite and mobilize.

The annual Walk MS: Lubbock is set for Saturday at 8 a.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Participants can enjoy either a one-mile or 5K route as well as food and entertainment before and after the event. Registration is free but walk participants are encouraged to actively fundraise for the cause.

Monies raised go directly to multiple sclerosis research to stop disease progression, restore function, and hopefully end MS forever.
