A special ceremony honored the home away from home for many families of critically ill children.
Those involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest gatherered for a ribbon cutting in honor of 25 years of support and service.
RMHC serves approximately 650 families per year, most of these families from 65 counties in Texas and four in New Mexico. When critically ill children receive care in local hospitals, RMHC keeps their families together. Children are said to heal faster when loved ones are nearby.
