Certain foods that most people consider to be healthy could be the underlying cause of inflammation and weight gain.

That is the basic concept behind "The Plan," a 20-day program by Lyn-Genet Recitas, a holistic health practitioner. She appeared on Good Day Lubbock to further delve into her book. Click on the attached video to learn more.

The Plan is aimed at people over the age of 35 who are looking to lead a long-term healthy lifestyle. Recitas' program has been featured on programs such as the Dr. Oz show, which airs weekdays on FOX 34.

Recitas will be available to address questions during an open event at the Indiana Baptist Church from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
