Man faces criminal mischief charge for using stolen meter

A Lubbock man faces a felony criminal mischief charge for allegedly buying and using a stolen meter to avoid paying for electricity. Juan Manuel Benavides Jr., 36, was indicted by a grand jury last month. He remains free on bond.
