The 2013 Lindsey Callaway Memorial Toy Drive went off without a hitch this year as the family shared some really exciting news. They reached their goal of raising $250,000 in toys by this year's delivery to Covenant Children's Hospital.

At the age of 16, Lindsey Callaway died of cancer in 2001. Since her battle began, her family developed a strong relationship with the nurses and staff on the third floor of the hospital where she stayed.

The story came full circle in 2011 when Jessie, Lindsey's younger sister, became a nurse on the very same floor. The toy drive has an even deeper meaning as she gets to personally deliver toys to her own patients.

Looking ahead, the Callaway's hope to raise $100,000 for the Lindsey Callaway Memorial Fund by next year. This will ensure children being treated at the hospital will be surprised with toys for many years to come.
