Covenant Health will host the next farmer's market on Friday, August 2 on the fifth floor of the East Parking Garage from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The items sold at the farmer's market are from Texas growers. Presently, there will be items such as squash, peppers and herbs available for purchase.  The idea of the idea of having a farmer's market came from the LifeStyle Centre's employees including Laura Lowe.

"20 years ago, I went to Pike's Place in Seattle and got to experience a large farmer's market," Lowe said. "Every day, I see how empty the fifth floor in the parking garage is and wondered how to better use this space. I have been motivated by Covenant's mission to help our community get healthier."

Cash, check, credit/debit, food stamps and TDA/WIC vouchers accepted. If you are interested in becoming a vendor call 806.725.4386 for details.
