October sales tax revenue lower than October 2012

Lubbock's sales tax receipts for the month of October was lower than the same time a year ago. 

The state comptroller delivered a check for more than $4.6 million, a decrease of almost 2.4 percent from October of last year. 

The year-to-date sales tax payments for 2013 are still up more than 6.8 percent from 2012, at nearly $56 million.
