Texas Tech's incoming president's sudden departure from the University of Idaho came as a shock to many in Moscow. Duane Nellis was chosen as the finalist for Tech president Friday.
The University of Idaho will no have to hire its third president in ten years. Idaho's state board of education vice president Don Soltman says it's disappointing to see Nellis leave because he'd provided the university with stability since he was first declared as UI's president in 2009.
Nellis has agreed to complete his contract which ends in June.
