A Lubbock nonprofit received quite the Christmas gift this year.

On Tuesday, City Bank presented Lubbock's Habitat for Humanity a check for $50,000 for the expansion and renovation of their resale store, Restore, located at the 2900 Block of Avenue N.
City Bank Board Chairman Curtis Griffith said helping the organization helps the Lubbock economy as a whole.

"They put people in homes as homeowners, and that is some of the best growth that any community can have," Griffith said. "They are dedicated to helping out folks in our community that just needed a hand up. They've had a great track record, and we're just grateful to be able to help them out."
