The "Just like you like it" fast food chain opened another location. Whataburger celebrated the grand opening of its eighth location in Lubbock. The new store is located in the Overton North neighborhood on 9th Street just east of University Avenue.
The San Antonio-based firm began as a single burger stand in 1950 and today operates more than 730 stores across 10 states. Whataburger has been in the Lubbock area since 1972,
Thursday night the restaurant gave away free Whataburgers for a year to ten lucky customers.
