LP&L board member explains rate increases

LP&L customers showed a lot of anger over their June bills, when some of them were more than double after rate increases took place at the start of June. LP&L and LP&L board members are now trying to communicate with customers better to alleviate anger and confusion.

I agree that that LP&L should have "better communicated" withe the people. Publicly stating that the average bill would be going up about 7 dollars, and then charging them a Hundred Dollars more is horrible communication from BOTH LP&L and the city council. Unfortunately, I expected the person who is a member of the LP&L board and the council to give only fiction to the people, but a 13 fold increase beyond his claim was unexpected, even for one who knows he is incapable of telling us the truth. Lubbock power corrupts. Lubbock Power and Light corrupts absolutely.
