Thousands in Lubbock get free tax advice

Specially trained volunteers are offering free tax preparation services for qualifying low income South Plains residents.

During the past two years, more than 5500 taxpayers have gotten help from the Coalition of Community Assistance Volunteers. 

The local program is offered through April 16th at the corner of Avenue Q and Villa Drive.
