High Point Village officially kicked off its capital campaign on Tuesday. The organization is trying to fund the construction of a 21,947 square foot enrichment center.
To help launch the effort, McGavock Nissan, located on 6312 Milwaukee, offered to donate $50 to the campaign when any new Nissan automobile is purchase until the end of the year.
High Point has raised over $2 million in funding necessary for phase 1 of the project. Phase 2 will include multiple residential cottages where villagers will live with house parents.
Some of the residents of High Point sang Christmas carols, and there was a silent auction for those last-minute shoppers.
