Jalapeno Turkey Burgers

1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 Hamburger buns
4 slices pepper jack cheese, optional
Avocado cream sauce

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of oil, and saute chopped onion and jalapeno until soft, about seven minutes.
Remove from the heat, and allow to cool for a few minutes.
In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with cumin, paprika, salt and pepper.
With the sauteed vegetables, stir in cilantro and garlic. Add the vegetables to the meat and mix well with your hands. Do not press down on this mixture too hard.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and add two to three tablespoons of oil.
Divide the meat into four pieces. Form each piece into an even patty. Press your thumb into the middle of the patty to form a dent. This will make the patty come out flat instead of dome-shaped.
Cook each patty for about 4-6 minutes on each side, or until the inside reaches about 160*. If you want to add cheese, add it after you have flipped the patty for the first time.
Serve on a wheat bun with avocado cream sauce.

Avocado cream sauce

1 avocado
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 lime, juiced
2 Tablespoons cilantro, chopped
Salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
Cover and refrigerate until needed.
