Kat's Kitchen- Pound Cake with Peach Sauce

Gran's Pound Cake

1 cup butter, at room temperature
3 cups sugar
5 eggs, at room temperature
1 cup buttermilk
1 Tablespoon water
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups flour

Beat the butter until fluffy. Gradually add the sugar one cup at a time. 
Add eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each egg before adding the next. 
Mix in buttermilk, water, vanilla, salt and baking soda. 
Mix in flour, one cup at a time. 
Pour batter into a greased bundt pan. 
Bake at 350* for about an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 
Let rest for 10 minutes before removing from pan. 
To remove from pan: Put a plate over the top of the cake, and flip the cake onto the plate. If it does not slide out of the bundt pan, give it a few taps. 

Peach Sauce

4 peaches, peeled and chopped
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Put all ingredients in a small sauce pan. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until bubbly and glossy.
